Our Commitment To Privacy: Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

The Information We Collect: This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on this website. On some pages, you can order products, make requests, and register to become a member. The types of personal information collected on these pages are:

  • Email address
  • Telephone number

Age Restricted Items: Where products are deemed unsuitable for use by certain age groups, we have made this cleared in the item discription. Anyone under the age of 18 is prohibited from ordering/purchasing these items. Where there are items with the age restriction on them you will be asked to confirm you accept our terms and conditions before you can place your order.

Delivery Period: Following receipt and clearance of payment, all purchase(s) will be posted within three working days, however our aim is same day dispatch. All parcels are dispatched via first class with proof of posting. We will not be liable for lost item(s) in the post. If you would like your item to be be dispatched recorded delivery please purchase item(s) and state you would like your item(s) recorded delivered in the additional information section. After your order is received we will invoice you for a small additional charge via paypal for the recorded delivery.

Payment Methods: We accept all the major credit / debit cards via our payment gateway PayPal or over the telephone. We also accept cheques. All cheques must be cleared before item(s) are dispatched or collected from our shop.

Online Orders & Card Security: All credit / debit card orders placed online are made on a secure, encrypted server to ensure the privacy and security of your information. All payment transactions take place on the secure encrypted server of our payment processor (PayPal) - we never have access to your card details at any time.

Out of stock item(s): From time to time item(s) purchased from our website may not be in stock due to the item(s) being sold in our retail shop. We do however have 2 or 3 deliverys each week so items are not out of stock for long. We will notify you straight away if your item(s) is not instock. We will inform you when the item(s) is due back in,  if your are happy to wait for the item(s) we will send it out as and when it arrives or you can have a  full refund on the item(s) we dont have instock.

Samples: We have a sampling service which is charged at 99p per sample. Samples measure approx 10cm x 15cm and come tagged with all the fabric and yarn details. To purchase samples please contact us either via e-mail or phone. Purchasing sample(s) does not reserve the fabric.

Foreign customers: We are happy to send item(s) overseas, however the postal charges on our website are set for uk posting only. Most of the small item(s) are charged at the same price for sending in the uk or overseas. Some of the bigger item(s) are more expensive to send overseas and therefore the postal charges set on our website will not cover the cost. If this happens we will send you a invoice via paypal for the addition cost of the posting overseas. If you are not happy with this we will issue you with a full refund on your purchase. If any parcel is subject to tax duties, import duties or excise duty you will be required to pay this on delivery of your parcel, Watson & Thornton will not be held responsible for this.

Gift Vouchers: Gift vouchers can only be used instore. Vaild for 12 months from date of purchase, Must be used in a single transaction, Cannot be exchangded for cash.

Refunds: We do not refund or exchange any patterns, cut goods or fat quarters. We do not exchange or refund goods without a valid receipt. We do not exchange or refund goods after a 28day period has elapsed. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Returns: All returned item(s) must be in the same condition as they were when purchased. Postal charges will not be refunded on any returned item(s). We will not be liable for the returned postal charge or lost of item(s).
